Job Description

One of the reputed Universities in Kuwait invites applicants for the position of Associate Professor / Full Professor in Management of Information Systems (MIS).

The appointed faculty member shall:

1. Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in accordance with approved curricula.

2. Supervise student research projects and academic activities

3. Provide professional mentorship to students.

4. Develop and maintain an independent research agenda with measurable scholarly output.

5. Publish in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals indexed in reputable databases.

6. Contribute to curriculum development and program review processes.

 

Job Profile

Qualification:

PhD degree in Management of Information Systems(MIS)

Academic Rank and Experience Requirements:

Associate Professor - Minimum of 4 years of experience in a reputable academic institution at the academic rank of Assistant Professor

Full Professor - Minimum of 8 years of experience in a reputable academic institution and must have held the academic rank of Associate Professor for 4 years and the academic rank of Assistant Professor for 4 years.

Research and Scholarly Requirements: Associate Professor:

a. Minimum 8 full-length, high-quality academic papers published in reputable international peer-reviewed journals.

b. Publications must meet recognized academic standards

c. At least three (3) publications within the last five years.

d. The applicant must be first author on a minimum of four (4) publications.

e. Research extracted directly from the applicant’s MSc or PhD thesis will not be counted.

Research and Scholarly Requirements: Full Professor:

a. Minimum 13 full-length, high-quality academic papers published in reputable international peer-reviewed journals.

b. Publications must meet recognized academic standards

c. A Scopus h-index of 20 or higher is preferred.

d. At least three (3) publications within the last five years.

e. The applicant must be first author on a minimum of seven (7) publications.

f. Research extracted directly from the applicant’s MSc or PhD thesis will not be counted.
